This trailer, which lasts 2 minutes and 52 seconds, came out on YouTube on Saturday. It is available in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. It got millions of views very fast because Vijay's fans were super excited.
The director is H Vinoth, and the makers are from KVN Productions. In one fast part of the trailer at 23 seconds, someone loads a shotgun. People paused there and saw a tiny mark in the bottom right corner that looks like the Gemini AI tool logo.
Once fans shared pictures and short clips on social media like X, the talk grew big. They said the team used Google's Gemini for video editing but forgot to take away its mark. One person called it a big disrespect to movies. They pointed out the film has a huge budget of Rs 400 crore, so why miss something so simple.
Others felt shocked and said using AI for easy parts without hiding the sign makes people worry about how movies are made now. Some joked they should have just blurred it. Later, the trailer got an update to remove the mark, but copies online kept the story going.
This news came soon after the music launch event on December 28 in Malaysia. There, 51-year-old Vijay spoke from the heart. He asked fans to support his new political group called Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. Many call Jana Nayagan his last film as he plans to focus on politics full time.
The story is about a cop who wants revenge. Stars include Pooja Hegde as the main actress, plus Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani, and Narain. Anirudh Ravichander made the music for this action movie about politics.
Even with the upset over AI in a top Tamil film trailer, the views show how much fans love Vijay. Some say it proves AI is entering big movies now. People worry it means less work from real editors, right before the Pongal festival time. The full movie will play in theaters everywhere on January 9, 2026. It is set to be a big event as Vijay says goodbye to acting.
