Oppo is getting ready to launch its new flagship phone, the Find X9. This phone will replace last year’s Find X8 and is expected to bring big improvements in battery, cameras, and overall performance.
Reports say the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro may launch in China this October 2025, while the Find X9 Ultra could arrive in early 2026.
The Find X9 is said to come with a 6.59-inch flat OLED screen with LTPO technology. The display may support 1.5K resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, making it brighter and sharper for movies, games, and daily use. It is also expected to have an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the screen for quick and secure unlocking.
Inside, the phone may be powered by MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9500 processor. This is a high-end chip designed for fast performance and smooth multitasking. The Find X9 is expected to launch with Android 16 running on Oppo’s newest ColorOS 16 interface.
A major highlight of the phone is its battery upgrade. The Find X9 could feature a huge 7,025mAh battery, much larger than the Find X8’s 5,630mAh unit. It may also support 80W fast wired charging and 50W fast wireless charging, which will let users quickly charge the large battery.
The camera setup is likely to receive major improvements. The Find X9 may feature a Hasselblad-branded triple rear camera setup with Oppo’s Lumo Imaging Technology.
Reports suggest it may include a 50MP Sony LYT-808 main sensor with OIS, a 50MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide sensor, and a 50MP Samsung JN9 telephoto periscope camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS. For selfies, the phone is said to have a 50MP Samsung JN1 front camera, making it one of the best selfie cameras in a flagship phone.
Apart from the battery and cameras, other features also stand out. The Find X9 may come with dual stereo speakers for better sound, a new X-axis linear motor for stronger and smoother vibration feedback, and IP68 + IP69 ratings for protection against dust and water. Another new addition is the “Plus Key” button, which may replace the alert slider and allow users to set custom shortcuts.
Going by Oppo’s past launches, the Find X9 series is likely to be launched in China first in October before expanding to other regions like India. The Find X9 Ultra, which is set to bring even more powerful hardware such as a 2K display and possibly an upgraded battery system, is expected early next year.
The Oppo Find X9 looks ready to compete with some of the biggest upcoming phones, such as Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series and Apple’s iPhone 17. With a very large battery, fast charging, upgraded Hasselblad cameras, and a strong chipset, it could attract users looking for a powerful flagship.
However, none of these details are official yet. Oppo is yet to confirm the features, so all the information should be treated as leaks until the company makes an announcement.
