A young man named Manish Bisi, who lives in Madagaon village, Chhattisgarh, had a surprising experience recently. He visited a small shop and bought a new SIM card, not knowing that it used to belong to Rajat Patidar, the captain of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) cricket team.
While Manish was setting up WhatsApp with his friend Khemraj, they saw Rajat Patidar’s photo as the profile picture. At first, they thought it was some mix-up or technical problem.
What happened next was even more unexpected. Manish began receiving phone calls from famous cricket players like Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. These stars were trying to reach Patidar, not realizing the number now belonged to someone else. For about two weeks, Manish and Khemraj talked to callers, sometimes thinking it was all just a joke.
During this time, Rajat Patidar noticed that he could not use his WhatsApp account. He understood that his old number must have been given to another person, so he asked for help from the cyber cell police in Madhya Pradesh. The police quickly found out that Manish now had Patidar’s old number, and they came to get the SIM card.
Manish and Khemraj found the whole situation unbelievable and funny. When Patidar himself called and asked for the number back, they joked about being famous too. But soon the police came to their house and took the number. The SIM card was returned to Rajat Patidar, so he could keep in touch with his friends, family, and team.
The two friends said the experience was special and it gave them stories to share for life. Khemraj even felt happy to be able to talk to Kohli because of this mix-up. Meanwhile, Rajat Patidar continues his career and has led the RCB team to their first IPL victory.
