OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V Launch: 9,000mAh Battery Powerhouses Unveiled in China

OnePlus recently launched two new smartphones in China, the Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V, on January 8, 2026. These phones come with very big 9,000mAh batteries that can last for days on one charge. 


They have strong protection against dust and water with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings. Both run on ColorOS 16 software built on Android 16, making them easy and fast to use for daily tasks and games.

The Turbo 6 has a powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip inside, along with an Adreno 825 graphics unit for smooth performance. It offers up to 16GB of LPDDR4X or LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 or UFS 4.1 storage, so you can run many apps at once without slowdowns. 

The screen is a 6.78-inch full-HD+ flexible AMOLED type with 1,272x2,772 pixels, 450ppi sharpness, a refresh rate from 60Hz to 165Hz, 1,800 nits top brightness, and full DCI-P3 colors for bright and true-to-life pictures.

For photos, the Turbo 6 includes two rear cameras: a 50-megapixel main one with f/1.8 lens, autofocus, and a 2-megapixel extra lens that gives up to 20x digital zoom. The front camera is 16 megapixels for clear selfies and video calls. It supports 5G networks, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS with systems like Galileo and Beidou, and a USB Type-C port. Other parts include sensors for motion, light, direction, and an under-screen fingerprint reader.

This phone costs CNY 2,099, about Rs. 27,000, for the 12GB RAM plus 256GB storage version. Higher options like 12GB plus 512GB, 16GB plus 256GB, and 16GB plus 512GB go up to CNY 2,899 or around Rs. 37,000. Colors are Light Chaser Silver, Lone Black, and Wild Green. It measures 162.46 by 77.45 by 8.50mm and weighs 217 grams. The battery charges at 80W SuperVOOC speed and even shares power at 27W reverse wired charging.

The Turbo 6V is a bit cheaper and uses a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip with Adreno 810 graphics. It has up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The display matches with the same size and resolution but has a 93.5 percent screen-to-body ratio, up to 300Hz touch response, and a 144Hz or 165Hz refresh rate. Cameras are the same: 50-megapixel main plus 2-megapixel rear, and 16-megapixel front.

It connects via 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, NFC, USB Type-C, and has the same sensors and protection ratings. The 9,000mAh battery also gets 80W fast charging and 27W reverse charging. This model works with two nano-SIM cards. You can get the Turbo 6V in Fearless Blue, Lone Black, or Nova White shades. 

The Turbo 6V begins at CNY 1,699, which is roughly Rs. 21,000, for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage option. Next up is CNY 1,899 for 12GB RAM with 256GB storage. The highest variant, with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, costs CNY 2,199, about Rs. 28,000.

These phones passed tough tests for heat, cold, dust, rain, shakes, and falls. They come in dual-SIM setups without a memory card slot. Right now, they are on sale in China with early buy deals, but no news yet on release in India or other places, where they might get new names like Nord models.
