Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is getting ready to launch soon, and fans are excited because the phone is expected to bring powerful upgrades.
People have been waiting for updates since January 2026, and new leaks suggest that Samsung might reveal the phone at the Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25 in San Francisco, USA. If this timeline is correct, global sales could begin in early March, and the phone may reach stores by mid-March, similar to Samsung’s usual release schedule.
The phone is not expected to change much in terms of design, but Samsung is focusing on useful improvements for everyday use. The new model may be slimmer at 7.9mm, compared to the previous version which was 8.2mm thick.
The camera bump is likely to stay because the company is offering better low-light performance with wider lenses. The display is one of the biggest upgrades as the Galaxy S26 Ultra might feature a new M14 OLED panel that saves 20 to 30 percent more power than the older M13 display, helping the battery last longer without needing extremely high brightness.
Inside the phone, Samsung is expected to use a special Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset built on a 2nm process. This means the phone should run smoother and use less power. It will likely be paired with faster LPDDR5X RAM that reaches speeds up to 10.7Gbps.
This upgrade helps reduce camera shutter delays and speeds up photo processing. Storage options may go up to 1TB, with RAM choices of either 12GB or 16GB. The phone is expected to run Android 16 with One UI 8 and receive software updates for up to seven years.
Battery capacity is also getting an improvement after many years. The Galaxy S26 Ultra may offer between 5,100mAh and 5,400mAh. Charging is also faster, with 60W wired charging that reportedly takes the battery from zero to 75 percent in around 30 minutes during testing.
It may also support 15W wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging for powering accessories. The camera system remains strong, featuring a 200MP main camera, a 10MP 3x telephoto lens, a 50MP 5x periscope zoom lens, and a 50MP ultrawide camera. The phone is also expected to support high-quality video recording, including 8K at 30fps.
In India, the price may be close to Rs 1,29,999, similar to the previous Ultra model. However, global chip shortages could cause a slight increase. Samsung leaders have mentioned that rising memory costs affect all manufacturers, so some added cost may be passed on to customers.
Well-known tipsters like Ice Universe and Evan Blass have confirmed that the expected launch date appears accurate, adding more excitement around the upcoming flagship device.
