Samsung has launched its new tablet, the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite, to expand its mid-range lineup. The Galaxy Tab S10 Lite was launched on August 25 and will be available for purchase starting September 5. Samsung has designed this device for people who want a balance of performance, entertainment, and productivity without paying flagship prices.
The tablet comes with the company’s own Exynos 1380 processor, a large 10.9-inch screen, and a powerful 8,000mAh battery. It also includes the S Pen stylus in the box, which makes it useful for note-taking, drawing, or work on the go.
The Galaxy Tab S10 Lite will be available in three colours Coral Red, Gray, and Silver. Samsung will sell the tablet in two versions: one with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, and another with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Users can also expand the storage up to 2TB with a microSD card. Samsung has not yet shared the price, and there is no confirmation about when the tablet will reach the Indian market.
The tablet features a 10.9-inch WUXGA+ TFT display with a resolution of 1320 × 2112 pixels. It can reach up to 600 nits of brightness and also uses Samsung’s Vision Booster technology to make the screen clear under bright light.
On the back, the tablet has a simple 8-megapixel camera, and on the front, it offers a 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. It runs on the latest Android 15 operating system with Samsung’s One UI on top. Connectivity features include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.3.
Samsung is offering several tools to improve productivity. The S Pen comes with features like Samsung Notes and Circle to Search. The Notes app now includes Handwriting Help, which can tidy up handwritten notes, and Solve Math, which can solve maths problems directly. The tablet also works with the Book Cover Keyboard (sold separately), which adds a dedicated Galaxy AI Key for faster access to AI functions.
To make the tablet more appealing to students and creative users, Samsung is giving special app offers. Buyers will get one year of Goodnotes free, a six-month trial of Clip Studio Paint with a 20 percent discount on the first paid plan, a 66 percent discount on LumaFusion video editor, and a one-month free Creator Pass subscription. Other supported creative apps include Notion, Sketchbook, Noteshelf, ArcSite, and Picsart.
The tablet is slim and lightweight despite having a big battery. It measures 165.8 × 254.3 × 6.6 mm and weighs only 524 grams, making it easy to carry around.
With this launch, Samsung is placing the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite between its premium Galaxy Tab S10 and S10+ models and the more affordable Galaxy Tab A series. The new tablet is likely to compete with devices such as the Apple iPad (2024 edition), Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro, and Lenovo’s upcoming models.
While the price will play a big role in its success, the features suggest Samsung is targeting students, professionals, and creators who need a balance of performance, portability, and productivity.
In short, the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite brings a big battery, a sharp large screen, S Pen support, and AI-powered tools at what is expected to be a reasonable price. Its simple design, creative bundles, and long-term Android support make it a strong option for anyone looking for a mid-range tablet.
