Nvidia Launches Jetson AGX Thor Developer Kit with 2070 TFLOPS for Robotics and AI

Nvidia has announced a new device called the Jetson AGX Thor Developer Kit. It is a small but extremely powerful computer designed mainly for robotics, artificial intelligence, and advanced video or sensor-based systems. 


Even though it looks like a compact mini PC, it offers power and speed similar to a full workstation. Nvidia says this system is built for researchers, engineers, and developers who want to test and build new AI applications.

The core of the kit is the Jetson T5000 module, which is based on Nvidia’s latest Blackwell GPU design. It can deliver a performance of up to 2070 TFLOPS (FP4, Sparse), which makes it one of the fastest systems in this size category. The GPU has 2560 cores and 96 Tensor Cores that can handle heavy AI tasks efficiently. 

Along with this, the device has a 14-core Arm Neoverse-V3AE processor and 128GB of LPDDR5X memory, giving it enough power for demanding jobs such as humanoid robots, autonomous systems, or advanced machine vision.

The developer kit can also process very high-quality video. It has built-in support for handling multiple streams of 4K and 8K video, making it useful for areas like real-time video analytics, healthcare imaging, or complex sensor systems. To support this, the device comes with modern outputs such as HDMI 2.0b and DisplayPort 1.4a.

It also includes a WiFi 6E module, a 1TB NVMe SSD for storage, and plenty of options for expansion through M.2 slots and USB ports. For networking, it offers four 25GbE channels and one 5GbE RJ45 port, which is especially suited for systems that need to connect with lots of sensors at once. The device still stays compact, measuring just 243.19 × 112.4 × 56.88 millimeters.

Power use is flexible depending on the application. The Jetson T5000 can run anywhere between 40 watts and 130 watts. Nvidia is also developing a smaller model named the Jetson T4000. This model is expected to deliver 1200 TFLOPS (FP4, Sparse) with a GPU of 1536 cores, 64GB memory, and a lower power range of 40 to 75 watts. This smaller version will be more cost-friendly while still offering strong performance for many edge AI projects.

Nvidia is aiming this product at industries that rely on robotics, computer vision, smart systems, and sensor-heavy machines. The Jetson AGX Thor works with Nvidia’s major software tools such as Isaac for robotics, Metropolis for AI vision, and Holoscan for healthcare and sensor workloads. This shows that the company wants the kit to become a foundation for many advanced real-world applications rather than just a consumer PC.

The new kit is priced at $3,499 and is already available for pre-order with shipments beginning on November 20, 2025. Although this device is not made for regular home or office use, it could play a big role in future robotics and AI systems. With such high performance in a very compact form, Nvidia’s Jetson AGX Thor stands out as one of the most powerful developer platforms available right now.
