This happened shortly after SummerSlam earlier this month. Both of them were popular with fans, and their sudden exit has caused a lot of discussion among wrestling followers.

Kross explained that his WWE contract ended on August 10, 2025. Just after SummerSlam, WWE gave him a new contract offer. However, the company allowed him just 24 hours to decide on it. Kross wanted to know how WWE decided the value of the offer and asked for details like numbers, reports, or any data that explained why the amount was set.

WWE refused to share this information and told him that the offer would be taken back if he did not reply within the deadline. The next day, he again asked for the information, but WWE still declined, and then withdrew the offer.

In his last WWE match, Kross went up against Sami Zayn on the first night of SummerSlam, marking the third and final bout in their rivalry. After the match, both Kross and Scarlett officially left WWE. Scarlett thanked the fans and spoke positively about the people she worked with during her time in the company.

There were rumors that this might be part of a WWE storyline, but Kross made it clear that this was not scripted. Both he and Scarlett are now free agents and can work with any wrestling company. People close to them have also confirmed that the situation is real.

Even though the way things ended was disappointing, Kross said that working for WWE has always been his dream. He is open to talking to the company again in the future if there is another chance. He explained that in wrestling, unclear situations around contracts can make other companies hesitate to reach out, but he is ready to have conversations with anyone.

Now that they are out of WWE, Kross and Scarlett have started booking independent shows. They will appear at The Big Event NY's Sports Expo in New York this November, using their old wrestling names, Killer Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux. This will be the first time fans can see them together in person since leaving WWE.
