Motorola is going to launch a new budget smartphone called the Motorola G06. It is expected to come to India around January 2026. Before the official launch, details about its design, features, and price have appeared online.
The Motorola G06 will have a big 6.88-inch HD+ LCD screen. The resolution will be 720×1640 pixels. The screen will support a 120Hz refresh rate and will be protected by Gorilla Glass 3, which stops scratches. The phone’s front will feature a tiny teardrop-shaped notch with a slight bottom bezel. It will be available in three colors: Tapestry, Arabesque, and Tendril. Its size will be 171.35×77.5×8.31mm and it will weigh about 194 grams.
The phone will run on the MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme chipset. This processor is fast enough for daily use. It will have 4GB of RAM and storage up to 256GB, which can be expanded with a microSD card. The G06 will use Android 15, the latest software from Google.
For cameras, the phone will have two rear cameras. The main camera will be 50 megapixels and have autofocus. There will also be a secondary flicker sensor like the older G05. The front camera for selfies will be 8 megapixels. The phone will have a 5,200mAh battery and 10W wired charging, which will last a long time.
The Motorola G06 will include a fingerprint scanner built into its power button. It also comes with an IP64 rating, making it resistant to dust and water splashes. It will support dual SIM cards, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and USB-C charging.
Leaked prices from Europe suggest that the base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage will cost around €119, about ₹12,300. The higher model with 4GB RAM and 256GB storage may cost €169, about ₹17,400. The phone will likely follow similar prices in India and launch early next year. The previous G05 started at ₹6,999.
