Apple is set to unveil the iPhone 17 series on September 9, 2025, during its “Awe-Dropping” event. Just before the launch, many reports and leaks have come out. A market research company, TrendForce, says that the iPhone 17 series may sell 3.5 percent more than the iPhone 16 series.

Even though prices may go up and the global economy is slow, the iPhone 17 Pro models and the new iPhone 17 Air are expected to bring strong sales.

The iPhone 17 series is expected to come with a new design, better speed, improved heat control, and stronger cameras. These changes are likely to make people more interested in buying the new models. Just like before, the Pro versions are expected to be the main drivers of sales.

The iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air are likely to feature the new A19 chip to deliver faster performance. The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max may come with the A19 Pro chip. Apple is also increasing memory this time. All models except the regular iPhone 17 are expected to have 12GB RAM, while the base model may still come with 8GB RAM. This is more than the iPhone 16, which had less RAM.

Storage is also going up. Reports suggest that the iPhone 17 Air, Pro, and Pro Max may start with 256GB of storage and go up to 1TB. The normal iPhone 17 may still start lower, but higher models will now give more storage by default.

Cameras will also get a major change. All iPhone 17 models may have a 24-megapixel selfie camera instead of the 12-megapixel one. The back cameras are also said to move up to 48 megapixels. The Pro models may also get a new rectangular camera design with better zoom and improved software for sharper and clearer photos.

This year, a new iPhone model called iPhone 17 Air is also expected. It is said to be slim and light, placed between the regular and Pro models. It will focus on design and being easy to carry, but it may have a smaller battery compared to the Pro versions.

Prices may be higher this year. Some reports say that the Air and Pro versions could cost more than before, while other models may not see much change. Even with a possible price hike, experts believe that the new features and upgrades will make the iPhone 17 series more popular and increase sales compared to the iPhone 16.

The final details of design, features, and prices will be revealed by Apple at the event on September 9. Till then, this information is based on leaks, analyst reports, and market research. But it shows that Apple is planning one of its biggest iPhone launches with better design, performance, storage, and cameras that could help the iPhone 17 series outsell the iPhone 16.
