Samsung has launched its new laptop, the Galaxy Book 5, in India. This laptop is made to work well with artificial intelligence, has long battery life, and gives smooth performance. It comes with the latest Intel Core Ultra processors that include a special chip called NPU to handle AI tasks faster. Because of this, the Galaxy Book 5 is one of the most AI-ready laptops Samsung has offered in India.
The Galaxy Book 5 is available in India beginning at ₹77,990. There are different versions with either Intel Core Ultra 5 or the more powerful Intel Core Ultra 7 processor. Users can choose memory and storage options up to 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD, which is good for heavy work and multitasking.
The laptop comes in Grey colour and can be bought from Samsung’s website, stores, partner shops, and online portals. There is also a launch offer with up to ₹10,000 cashback on select bank payments and a 24-month no-cost EMI option.
The laptop has a 15.6-inch Full-HD AMOLED touchscreen with an anti-glare coating, which makes it easy to see in bright light. It supports the S Pen, which is helpful for creators, designers, and students. The design is slim and light, so it is easy to carry for work or study.
Samsung says the Galaxy Book 5 gives about 38 percent better graphics performance than the previous Galaxy Book 4. The NPU chip can handle up to 12 trillion operations per second, so AI features run smoothly. The laptop works well for daily tasks, creative work, and light gaming.
The Galaxy Book 5 includes AI features such as AI Photo Remaster for enhancing images, Circle to Search for fast on-screen searches, AI Select for smart text handling, and Transcript Assist to convert speech into text. It also comes with a Microsoft Copilot button for easy access to AI tools in Windows 11.
The 61.2 Wh battery can last up to 19 hours of video playback on a single charge, which is good for a full day of work or travel. The laptop has two HDMI ports, two USB Type-A ports, two USB Type-C ports, a microSD slot, and an RJ45 LAN port, so it works with both new and older devices.
The Galaxy Book 5 offers Samsung-specific features like Quick Share for speedy file transfers, Multi-Control to manage a Samsung phone or tablet with the laptop’s keyboard and mouse, and Second Screen to expand the display onto a Galaxy tablet.
Samsung is focusing on AI-powered laptops with this launch, joining global trends from Intel, Microsoft, and Qualcomm. This laptop also works well within the Samsung ecosystem.
