Realme has shown two new concept smartphones at its 828 Fan Festival in China that look very different from regular phones. The company introduced a phone with a huge 15,000mAh battery and another phone called the Chill Fan phone that has a built-in cooling fan.
Both handsets are only concepts for now, and Realme has not confirmed if they will launch in the market. The showcase was mainly to highlight the company’s new ideas and research.
The first concept phone with the 15,000mAh battery is designed to last far longer than normal smartphones. Realme mentions that the device is capable of offering around 50 hours of video playtime, 30 hours of gaming sessions, and close to 18 hours of continuous video recording.
On normal use it may run up to six days on a single charge, and it can even last up to three months on standby mode if the phone is kept in airplane mode. Apart from long usage, this phone can also work as a power bank. It supports reverse charging so users can charge other phones, smartwatches, or other small devices from it.
The phone also comes with some known hardware details. The device appears with the model number PKP110 and features a 6.7‑inch screen. It is said to run on Android 15 with Realme UI 6.0 software. The chipset is MediaTek Dimensity 7300 and the phone will have 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, with the option of adding 12GB more virtually.
The phone has a dual rear camera setup and was shown in silver colour with a big “15,000mAh” mark at the back. Realme’s Vice President Chase Xu even mentioned that users could watch about 25 movies on this phone without recharging, which shows how powerful the battery can be.
The other concept showcased by Realme was the Chill Fan phone. As the name suggests, it has a built-in fan that helps to keep the phone cool. Realme says this mini cooling system can reduce the phone’s temperature by as much as 6 degrees during long gaming sessions. The phone looks similar to the Realme GT 7T in design but comes in a deeper shade of blue.
Teaser images also show vent openings on the side frame, which allow the heat to be pushed out while the fan is working. Realme compared it to having a tiny “AC” inside the phone, made especially for users who play heavy games on their phones for long hours.
Both phones are only concepts and Realme has not said anything about when or if they will be launched in the market. These devices were mainly shown to highlight Realme’s efforts in developing future smartphone technology. The idea of a 15,000mAh battery phone is far beyond what other brands are currently planning, as most companies are working on reaching 8,000mAh battery levels.
While such a huge battery might make the phone heavier and also take longer to charge, the concept still shows that Realme is exploring new possibilities. Similarly, the Chill Fan phone is clearly aimed at gamers, though it will need more fine-tuning in order to be practical for everyday users.
For now, Realme’s new concepts are catching attention because they are very different from what is available in the market today. A phone that lasts days without charging, and another that has a built-in fan to keep it cool, both point towards new directions in smartphones.
Whether these devices actually arrive as real products is not known yet, but their presentation at the 828 Fan Festival has already sparked interest in the industry and among smartphone fans.
