Samsung Galaxy S26 Leaks: Bigger Batteries, Better Cameras & 2026 Launch

Samsung’s next big phone, the Galaxy S26 series, is expected to be more of an update than a complete change. Recent leaks show small but useful changes.

The base model might get a slightly bigger screen and a bigger battery. The company may also include a faster chip option in many places, along with new software. This suggests the phone might launch early in 2026.

For the regular Galaxy S26, the screen could grow a bit to around 6.3 inches. The battery might increase from 4,000 mAh to about 4,300 mAh. These small upgrades aim to give users a longer-lasting phone with a bit more screen, while keeping the overall look the same. This will help people who want a smaller flagship phone have a better daily experience.

Samsung will probably use two different chips again. In many countries, the phone might have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. In others, it could use Samsung’s own Exynos 2600 chip. This means performance, heat control, and battery life could be different depending on where you buy it. So, buyers should check which chip their region will get once Samsung reveals the phone.

The camera details are not fully clear. However, many leaks say the Ultra model will have better telephoto or main camera sensors. Some say there might be a 200-megapixel sensor on the Ultra phone, while others think Samsung will keep the proven 50-megapixel telephoto or periscope cameras, but with improvements. In short, the cameras should get better, but don’t expect a huge jump until Samsung confirms the details.

The battery and charging information is mixed too. Some reports say the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s battery could be around 5,200 mAh, but other leaks say it may be as much as 5,400 mAh. There are also talks about faster wired charging for the Ultra model, possibly around 55 to 60 watts, which is quicker than recent Samsung phones. Since these are rumors, it’s best to wait for official numbers.

New software clues suggest the phone will come with One UI 8.5. This software version has appeared in leaks and even on Samsung’s internal testing servers. This supports the idea that the Galaxy S26 could launch in January or February 2026. One UI 8.5 might bring small design changes and new features, starting with the S26 series before coming to older phones.

Overall, Samsung is improving what works instead of making big changes. The Galaxy S26 phones will likely have better battery life, nicer cameras, and different chips depending on the region. If you want to upgrade, wait for the official info from Samsung to know exactly which chip, camera, battery, and charging speed your area will get. Until then, treat these details as good guesses that might still change.
