Man City Smash Juventus 5-2 to Finish Top in Club World Cup Group

Manchester City put on a strong show as they defeated Juventus 5-2 in their final Group G match at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, held in Orlando, Florida.

With this big win, City finished on top of their group after winning all three matches.

Doku Starts the Party for City

The match began with Jeremy Doku scoring a beautiful goal for Manchester City in the 9th minute. He displayed excellent control and curled the ball perfectly into the top corner of the net. Juventus quickly answered with a goal by Teun Koopmeiners, making it 1-1.

However, a big mistake by Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu gave City another goal. He accidentally kicked the ball into his own net from a cross by Savinho, putting City ahead 2-1.

Haaland Hits 300 Career Goals

In the second half, Erling Haaland came off the bench and scored with his first big chance in the 52nd minute. His goal was special it was the 300th goal of his career, combining both club and international matches.

After that, Phil Foden also got on the scoresheet in the 69th minute with a simple tap-in. After Haaland’s header bounced off the crossbar, Savinho reacted quickly and smashed the ball into the net, scoring City’s fifth goal to make it 5-1.

Late Goal From Juventus

Towards the end, Dusan Vlahovic scored a goal for Juventus to reduce the score to 5-2, but it was too late for a comeback.

  • They will stay in Orlando and are set to play their Round of 16 match on Monday.
