India vs Australia 2025: Sydney ODI, Canberra T20I Tickets Sold Out Months Ahead

Cricket fever is already gripping fans months before the action begins, as Cricket Australia (CA) has announced that tickets for two major fixtures in the upcoming India-Australia white-ball series are already sold out.

The third ODI in Sydney and the first T20I in Canberra have both seen overwhelming demand, with all public tickets sold out four months ahead of schedule.

India’s white-ball tour of Australia is set to take place in October and November 2025, and the excitement among fans especially the Indian diaspora has been record-breaking. The series will feature three ODIs beginning on October 19 in Perth, followed by five T20Is, with the final match set to take place in Brisbane on November 8.

Cricket Australia revealed that more than 90,000 tickets have already been sold for the eight upcoming matches, and that too within just two weeks of public sales. This includes not only the sold-out games in Sydney and Canberra but also strong interest in matches at other iconic venues like the MCG and the Gabba.

Massive Support From Indian Fan Clubs

A large share of the ticket sales has come from Indian cricket fan clubs. The Bharat Army alone has purchased over 2,400 tickets, while another popular group, Fans India, has grabbed more than 1,400. These numbers highlight the high enthusiasm among Indian fans living in Australia.

In addition, Amit Goyal from Brissy Baniyas, part of the Aggarwal community, made headlines by buying 880 tickets for the Gabba T20I making him the single largest individual ticket buyer for one match. Other Indian community groups such as the Indian Community of Gold Coast and Pakka Local have each purchased over 500 tickets for matches in Gold Coast and Melbourne.

CA Official Says This Could Be Australia's Biggest Summer of Cricket

Joel Morrison, Executive General Manager of Events and Operations at Cricket Australia, expressed delight at the strong response. He described the interest as “extreme” and added that the atmosphere across venues is expected to be electric.

“We’re thrilled to see such strong engagement from Indian fans, especially after the success of the Border-Gavaskar series last summer,” Morrison said. “The high demand shows this could be one of the biggest ever summers of cricket in Australia.”

With sold-out matches, record pre-sales, and passionate fan bases, the India vs Australia white-ball series promises to deliver high-octane cricket action and packed stadiums.
