According to reports, the leak suggests this could be the first phone to feature Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset one that OnePlus had earlier confirmed it would bring to market ahead of others.

Early information indicates that this model may be a more powerful variant of the recently launched Ace 6 series. The standard Ace 6 in China uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, and now the Ace 6 Pro Max (or possibly Ace 6 Turbo per other leaks) appears poised to raise the performance bar further.

The leaked retail box image explicitly bears the “Pro Max” name, signalling that OnePlus may adopt this naming strategy  similar to what some other brands have done recently.

Spec-wise, the rumoured display size is around 6.7 inches with a resolution of 1.5K and a high refresh rate of 165 Hz. The battery is pegged at about 8,000 mAh or slightly more, paired with fast charging support of 100 W according to leaks.

On the camera front, the front camera may be 32 MP, while the rear camera system could include a 50 MP main sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) plus an 8 MP ultra-wide camera. Other features expected include dual speakers, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, NFC connectivity, a metal mid-frame build, and the device may weigh roughly around 216 grams.

Colour options mentioned in the leaks include Flash Black, Electric Purple and Glimpse Green, with a special edition reportedly planned too. As for availability, the leak suggests the Ace 6 Pro Max could launch in China by the end of November or sometime before year-end.

Regarding India, there is a possibility that this handset may be rebranded as the OnePlus 15R when it arrives in the Indian market. Of course, all of this remains in the “leak” category until OnePlus officially confirms the name, specs, pricing and launch date.
